Rochester, N.Y., March 16, 2021—The Jr. Amerks are set to become a founding organization in the newly formed Eastern Exposure Series. Established by SuperSeries AAA, Eastern Exposure Series is a regional showcase series that will bring together some of the Northeast’s highest rated 13U-18U AAA teams and players beginning in the 2021-22 season.
As a Tier I organization, the Jr. Amerks are committed to providing its elite players with opportunities to advance beyond youth hockey. Eastern Exposure Series will give Jr. Amerks players access to topflight AAA competition as well as exposure for players looking to move on to juniors, college hockey or prep schools—all within driving distance from Rochester.
“Eastern Exposure Series offers our AAA players the opportunity to access some of the best competition in the region while gaining the exposure they need to advance to the next level,” said Francois Methot, Jr. Amerks Hockey General Manager. “Our Jr. Amerks attend SuperSeries tournaments every season, so these events will take place at locations our teams already travel to, such as Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and even right here in Rochester.”
Next season, all Jr. Amerks AAA teams at 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U and 18U will participate in Eastern Exposure Series showcase events. Each showcase will feature four games and schedules designed to minimize school absences and accommodate league schedules. Other founding organizations in the Eastern Exposure Series include: Boston Hockey Academy, Cape Cod Whalers, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes, Esmark Stars, Flyers Elite, Mercer Chiefs, New Jersey 87’s Elite, Philadelphia Jr. Flyers, Philadelphia Revolution, Rockets Hockey Club, Team Maryland and Westchester Express.
All Eastern Exposure Series events will be streamed live with broadcasters. Line charts will be published for every game and data analytics software packages will be available for all players. Dates and locations of SuperSeries events will be announced in the coming months.
“We want to give every player in the Jr. Amerks organization a chance to succeed, and this partnership with Eastern Exposure Series will help us give our most advanced players the opportunity they need to maximize their performance and pursue their hockey dreams,” added Methot. “We believe this partnership will offer our players an exceptional experience.”
