On Sunday, July 18, the Jr. Amerks are hosting Kyle’s Slap Shot Challenge 3v3 Fundraising Tournament at Rochester Ice Center. Registration is now open. We hope to see all Jr. Amerks participate to support a fellow player and play hockey for a great cause.

This 3v3 tournament is a Jr. Amerks fundraiser in support of Kyle’s Slap Shot Challenge to benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital. Kyle O’Donnell is one of our own, an 18U Jr. Amerks winger who’s been playing hockey since he was three years old. He was recently diagnosed with brain cancer and is undergoing treatment at Golisano Children’s Hospital. He and his family started the Slap Shot Challenge as a way to raise funds to build a gym facility for parents and caregivers of children receiving treatment at the Hospital.

The tournament is open to all Jr. Amerks house and travel players. Registration requires a $30 minimum donation to benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital. Teams will play at least four games throughout the day, and every player can participate in our slap shot challenge for a chance to win some great prizes. Players will be assigned to teams of 4-6 and play at their current level for the 2021-22 season. There are divisions for 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U.

Many thanks to our friends at Rochester Ice Center for donating the ice for this tournament. Thanks to their support, all but $5 of each player registration will directly benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital.
