Our 2023-24 season tryouts and evaluations schedule is now live, as well as information on our planned 2023-24 teams and coaches: 2023-24 Season Information

Next season we’ll field multiple teams at every age level from 8U to 18U. And, thanks to the continued success of our Girls program, we’ll offer nine Girls teams in the 2023-24 season, nearly doubling in size.

Tryout Information

Travel team tryouts for 9U-12U AAA, AA, and Tier I and Tier II Girls will take place between Feb. 28 and March 6. House evaluations for 10U and 12U will follow on March 14 and 15, and 8U evaluations are on March 16. Tryouts for 13U-18U  AAA, AA, and Tier I and Tier II Girls will take place between April 5 and April 8. House evaluations for 14U and 18U are on April 10 and 11. 

Registration will open one week prior to the first tryout date listed for each birth year. Tryouts will be held at Rochester Ice Center, with a few select dates at Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex. 

2023-24 Coaching Staff

We are proud to welcome an exceptional coaching staff in the 2023-24 season. In our Girls program, three outstanding women will join the organization as head coaches, all with significant NCAA experience: Kristina Schuler (12U); Ally Gibson (16U Tier I TB), and Bridget Hamlin (19U). In addition, the Jr. Amerks welcome Mitch Stephens of Cornell Men’s Ice Hockey and Trevor Sousa of Victor Boys Varsity Ice Hockey as coaches for our 10U Girls team. We also welcome Jimmy DiLibetto of Fairport Boys Varsity Ice Hockey as co-head coach of 16U AAA.

Several returning coaches will continue to lead our Jr. Amerks teams in the 2023-24 season, including Nathan Paetsch (13U AAA), Stephen Gionta (14U Tier I Girls TB), Scott McDonald (14U Tier I Girls NTB), Shawn Wilkins (14U AAA TB), and Trevor Dennis (15O AAA TB). As always, our focus remains on the development of every player who steps on the ice, and that starts with the coaches who lead our teams. We’re thrilled to have such a talented group of coaches working with our kids next season.
